The Village Government (Pemdes) and Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) from West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Province, conducted in-house training activities or human resource (HR) improvement training programs at Panggon Sinau Bareng Ademos in Dolokgede Village, Tambakrejo District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, Wednesday (11/22/2023).
Present at the event were the Head of the Bojonegoro Village Community Empowerment (PMD) Service (Kadin), Machmuddin, the Head of the West Bangka Social and Community Empowerment and Village Institutions Service (PMD), Winda, the Chairperson and Secretary of Ademos, and the Village Heads (Kades), Village Apparatus, the Village Consultative Body (BPD), and BUMDES administrators from West Bangka Regency.
During the training, Winda, Acting Head of the West Bangka Social Services and Community Empowerment Division, stated that West Bangka has 60 villages, 6 sub-districts, and 10 village-owned enterprises (BUMDES). Therefore, this training aimed to improve the human resources of BUMDES administrators so they can further develop the businesses they manage in their respective villages.
"Usually, we only conduct monitoring and outreach, which is certainly not optimal. Therefore, this joint study session can broaden the management's knowledge and experience, both in terms of administrative management and innovation in program improvement," said Winda.
Meanwhile, Machmuddin, Head of the Bojonegoro PMD Department, stated that there are 419 villages in Bojonegoro Regency. Of these, 414 have established Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), while 5 are still in the process. Coaching, technical guidance (bimtek), and training for BUMDes administrators in managing their businesses are ongoing. The goal is to increase their knowledge, or what we often call "upgrade." "The businesses they manage include laying hens and others," he said.
The former Ngasem sub-district head added that to improve micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), they need to be encouraged to participate in the village e-catalog program to further enhance their growth. "Besides benefiting themselves, BUMDES must also provide benefits, at a minimum, to the community and, eventually, to the wider community," he concluded.
The training presented various businesses managed by the West Bangka Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDES), including honey, palm oil, and others. During the joint study session, the group from West Bangka Regency will learn about BUMDes management with other BUMDes in the Dolokgede area, including those from Bandungrejo Village and Kacangan Village.
To improve the businesses they manage, the Chairman of Ademos stated that a well-thought-out concept is necessary. Furthermore, it's necessary to build collaboration with various parties and optimize existing assets to create a favorable business climate, with support from the local government. "With support from various parties, business can certainly be facilitated. This will improve the economy, both at the community level and at the village government level," he said.
Mas Dhory, the familiar nickname of the Chairman of Ademos, added that training is needed to further improve their business. For example, digital marketing training with the names of each company's flagship products. "In this regard, the Regency Government needs to fully support strengthening the business of BUMDES, one way is through this e-catalog," he said.

"Thank you for coming from the West Bangka BUMDES for this discussion at Panggon Sinau Bareng Ademos. We hope our discussion will be beneficial for developing your respective businesses there," he concluded.
