Fifty-one young football coaches in Bojonegoro Regency have now officially received National D licenses from the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI). These young coaches have agreed and are committed to improving youth football development to advance the sport in Bojonegoro.

The certification was obtained after dozens of young trainers participated in intensive training at the end of December 2024. This National D license coaching certification was obtained as part of a capacity building program initiated by ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL) together with the non-governmental organization, Ademos.

The licensed football coaches then gathered for a discussion at DOZS Dolokgede in Dolokgede Village, Tambakrejo District, on Saturday (June 1). This event served as a forum for collaboration and discussion to formulate strategies for developing young players and build a network of coaches in Bojonegoro.

The Head of the Bojonegoro Youth and Sports Agency, Arif Nanang Sugianto, praised EMCL and Ademos' initiative. He considered these dozens of National D-licensed football coaches a strategic asset for the Bojonegoro football ecosystem, particularly in developing athletes from an early age.

"We truly appreciate the initiative of the football activists in Bojonegoro who continue to contribute to the advancement of the region through sports training and development. This is an extraordinary milestone, having produced 51 coaches," said Arif Nanang.

Ademos Chairman, A. Shodiqurrosyad, emphasized the vital role of local coaches as the spearhead of developing young talent at the village level.

"They are at the forefront of discovering and developing young talent in the villages," said Arsyad, as he is familiarly known.

EMCL representative, Ali Mahmud, added that this program is in line with the company's commitment to supporting human resource development and increasing youth capacity in the field of sports.

"This support for young coach training demonstrates EMCL's commitment to building a positive, inclusive, and sustainable sports ecosystem in Bojonegoro," he said.

One of the participants, M. Alfin Huda, a trainer from Gayam Village, said the program was very valuable and had given him a lot of knowledge and new perspectives.

"Hopefully, this can encourage the advancement of world football, especially in Bojonegoro," he said.

The discussion was also attended by the Chairman of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Bojonegoro, Sahari, and the representative of the Bojonegoro PSSI Regional Committee, Supardi. Both supported the program and hoped that young coaches would produce high-achieving athletes for the region.

In addition to football, EMCL also plans to develop volleyball and badminton in Bojonegoro throughout 2025. This program will focus on competitions, tournaments, and training and coaching for young students, as an effort to facilitate the development of regional sports to further advance and achieve success.
